Operating Instructions – La Joux-Perret G101 Automatic Movement

Introduction

Your Trematic timepiece is powered by the La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss automatic mechanical movement designed for precision, durability, and an extended 68-hour power reserve.
This guide explains how to operate and care for your watch to ensure optimal long-term performance.

1. Winding the Watch (Manual Winding)

(Crown in Position 0)

Even though the watch is automatic, manual winding is recommended when starting or after a period of non-use.

How to wind:

  • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in (Position 0).

  • Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30–40 turns.

  • The watch is now fully wound.

The G101 features a slipping bridle system to prevent overwinding.

2. Setting the Time

(Crown pulled to Position 1)

How to set the time:

  • Pull the crown to Position 1.

  • Turn the crown to set the correct time.

  • Push the crown back to Position 0 once finished

  • For best performance, set the time by moving the hands forward.

    3. Wearing and Power Reserve

    (Movement with 68h)

The automatic rotor winds the watch through natural wrist motion.
When fully wound, the G101 provides up to 68 hours of power reserve.

If the watch stops, manually wind it as described above.

    4. Water Resistance and Crown Handling

    (Image: Screw-down crown)

    • Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before water exposure.

    • If your watch has a screw-down crown, screw it down firmly but gently.

    • Never adjust the crown under water.

    5. Accuracy and Mechanical Characteristics

Mechanical watches may show slight daily deviations depending on wear and environment.
Typical tolerance: -10 / +20 seconds per day.

This is normal and part of fine mechanical watchmaking.

    6. Maintenance and Care

    • Avoid strong magnetic fields and shocks.

    • Rinse the watch with fresh water after saltwater use.

    • Recommended service interval: every 4–5 years.

    7. Warranty and Service

Your Trematic watch is covered by a 5 years international warranty.
For service or regulation, contact Trematic Watch Co. or an authorized service partner.
